These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you request or use breakdown recovery, roadside assistance or related services from 247 Quick Breakdown (“we”, “us”, “our”), and when you use our website at https://247quickbreakdown.co.uk. Please read them carefully. By asking us to attend, accepting a quote, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

247 Quick Breakdown provides 24/7 breakdown recovery and roadside assistance across Berkshire and the wider South East of England.

“You” means the person who books or uses our services. If you book on behalf of someone else (for example a family member, employer or insurer), you confirm you have their authority to do so and that these Terms apply to them as well.

2. Our services

We provide 24/7 breakdown recovery, accident recovery, van recovery, jump starts, tyre services, fuel delivery and related roadside assistance across Berkshire and the wider South East of England. The descriptions on our website are summaries only. The details of your job, including what we will do and the price, are confirmed when you book.

If your location is outside the area we cover or we cannot help with your vehicle, we will tell you as soon as we can so that you can arrange help elsewhere.

3. Booking and response times

A contract between you and us is formed when we confirm your booking (by phone, message or email) and agree to attend. When you book we will give you an estimated arrival time.

Our help usually arrives within around 30 minutes, and most customers wait under an hour. These are estimates, not guarantees. Actual times depend on your location, traffic, weather and how busy we are. We will keep you updated, and if we are unable to reach you within a reasonable time we will tell you so that you can make other arrangements. You will not be charged for a service that we cancel before we attend.

4. Prices and payment

We give you a price before any work begins. The price depends on the type of job, the distance, your vehicle and the time of day. Late-night and out-of-hours calls may carry an extra fee, which we will explain before you agree. The price we quote to you is the price you pay, including any VAT that applies.

If extra work becomes necessary (for example, a different destination, extra distance, difficult access or specialist equipment), we will tell you and agree the revised price with you before continuing.

Payment is due on completion of the job unless we agree otherwise with you. We will tell you which payment methods we accept when you book. If you do not pay on time, we may pursue the unpaid amount, together with any interest and costs the law allows.

5. Your responsibilities

To help us do the job safely and correctly, you must:

If the information you give us is wrong or incomplete and this causes extra cost, delay or damage, you may be charged for the extra cost and we will not be responsible for the consequences to the extent that they were caused by the inaccurate information.

6. Safety and our right to refuse

Your safety comes first. If you are on a motorway or busy road, please follow the safety advice we give you and move to a safe place away from traffic.

We may refuse or stop a job if it is unsafe or unlawful, for example because of dangerous conditions, threatening or abusive behaviour, a vehicle that is unsafe to load or tow, a vehicle that is beyond our equipment’s capacity, or if we have reason to believe you do not have the right to instruct us. If this happens, we will explain why.

7. Cancellations and changes

If you are a consumer, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a contract made at a distance (for example, by phone or online). Because our services are usually needed urgently, when you ask us to attend straight away you are asking us to start during that 14-day period. If you then cancel before we have finished, you must pay for what we have done up to that point. Once the service has been fully carried out, you can no longer cancel. This does not affect your other legal rights.

8. Your vehicle and belongings

We will look after your vehicle with reasonable care and skill. Our driver may photograph and note the condition of your vehicle when we collect it and when we deliver it.

We are not responsible for damage that existed before we arrived, damage caused by the breakdown, accident or fault itself, or damage that could not have been avoided with reasonable care (for example, because of undisclosed modifications, locked wheels, faulty steering or brakes, or very low ground clearance).

Please remove valuables and personal belongings before we move your vehicle. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle, except to the extent that loss or damage is caused by our negligence.

We recommend that you check that your own motor insurance covers your vehicle while it is being recovered.

9. Roadside repairs, jump starts, tyres and fuel

10. Accident recovery

If your vehicle has been in an accident, please tell us when you book, and tell us whether the police or your insurer are involved. We may need to release your vehicle to your insurer, the police or a repairer on your instruction.

You are responsible for reporting the accident and contacting your insurer. We do not give legal or insurance advice and we are not responsible for the outcome of any claim. With your permission, we may share the details of the recovery with your insurer or repairer.

11. Vehicle storage

If you ask us to store your vehicle, we will confirm any storage charges and the collection arrangements with you in advance. If a vehicle remains uncollected without agreement, we may, after giving you written notice, take the steps that the law allows to recover our charges.

12. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Otherwise, if we break these Terms or are negligent, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of that, meaning that it was an obvious consequence or something that both you and we could have contemplated when you booked. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.

If you are using our services for business purposes, we are not responsible for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any one job is limited to the price paid for that job.

13. Your legal rights

If you are a consumer, the law gives you rights, including that our services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, for a reasonable price and within a reasonable time. If we do not meet these standards, you may be entitled to have the service repeated or to a price reduction. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights. For advice on your rights, you can contact Citizens Advice at citizensadvice.org.uk.

14. Complaints

If you are not happy with our service, please tell us at info@247quickbreakdownrecovery.co.uk or on 07362480896 so that we can put things right. We aim to acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and to respond in full within 14 days.

16. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure to carry out our services caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, road closures, accidents, industrial action, exceptionally high demand or a breakdown of our own vehicles. If this happens, we will tell you as soon as we can and do our best to reschedule or help you find alternative assistance.

17. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.
